AQMIS: The Process and Uses of Air Quality Data

Not only is AQMIS the state's most comprehensive storehouse for real-time and historical data, it is in itself, a complete state-of the-art information system. AQMIS works through the entire data process as it ingests various types of data files from different providers, performs several different quality assurance tests, summarizes the data, and finally provides the user with quality data of their choice in a timely manner. As AQMIS is dynamic by nature, it is able to cater to a wide variety of data uses from alerting the public to an unhealthy air quality day, to highly specialized research, to supporting policy decisions. Although AQMIS is already an extremely valuable tool, ARB is continuously looking for new ideas to augment AQMIS to make the website as accurate, powerful, efficient, and user-friendly as possible.
