Although there are many similarities to traditional screen printing, due to the equipment involved and the nature of the prints there are a number of differences in how the printed fabric is actually processed. However the overall chemistry and principles basically remain the same. With some fine-tuning, digital textile prints processed correctly can perform equally with screen prints in a wide variety of end-use applications. The development of the processing has been refined quite a bit from the inception and the refinement continues today.
