摘要

The additional PZT layer can significantly alter the static profile of flex cable in hard disk drive. With this feature, the ultimate goal of vibration control can hopefully be achieved by appropriately controlling the input electric field to the PZT. However, mode shapes in Fig. 6 (b), (c) show that the imposed electric field leads to variations of flex cable dynamics. This paper presents a modification for the finite element model of flex cable with the piezo constitutive equations and thus to correctly predict cable's dynamics.
