As all the factors can be varied, specific application requirements can be fulfilled by adapting the material combinations. As an example, these requirements could be static energy absorption or the suitability for crash scenarios. These are for example important aspects in the engineering of car bodies today. Based on these results, future examinations should be made on the specific balancing of the individual components in the various combinations, but also on specific material combinations for individual forms of applications and the optimization of the production process. The results have shown that the lamination of technical textiles into molded wood with suitable adhesives, can purposefully improve the performance of the natural material wood. The examined compounds have the potential to be developed into eco-friendly and sustainable high-performance light-weight constructions that can be used in various technical areas.
