The Human Performance Technology (HPT) model, the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), and Human Performance (HU) principles have common attributes and some important differences. HPT offers the nuclear professional a path for professional development as well as a lens for viewing performance improvement opportunities. This paper compares these conceptual frameworks of HPT, HU, and SAT. It also introduces professional certifications and accreditations that are available to professionals, organizations, and programs which reflect HPT methods and standards.
