Solar organic Rankine cycle using organic fluids as working fluids, is potentially feasible in recovering low enthalpy containing heat sources. The characteristics of working fluids has an impact on the organic Rankine cycle system. Under the proposed working conditions, R600, R600a, R245fa, R236fa, R236ea, R601, R601a are chosen as the working fluids of the low-temperature solar Rankine cycle system to optimize the system parameters by the genetic algorithm. According to the optimization results, when the total irreversible loss of the system is minimum, calculating and analyzing these seven working fluids thermal performance parameters in circulation system. The result shows that R601 is an available and effective working fluids for low-temperature Rankine cycle.
