In this paper the static lumped capacitance model of the quartz tuning-fork resonator is presented and the finite element analysis is performed for calculating static capacitance by taking U-shape tuning-fork as an example. According to the equivalent circuit model, the circuit parameters can be obtained by solving the lumped parameter equations after extracting series and parallel resonance frequencies by finite element analysis. It is indicated that when extracting resonance frequencies the electrodes should be treated as shorted or open circuits. For the calculation of resistance, material viscosity has been added and the results are compared with actual properties of resonator products.
