A wavelength demultiplexer for CWDM system is designed, fabricated and characterized based on metamaterial structure. The device experimentally displays low loss (-2.3dB), low crosstalk (-16.4dB) and broad 1-dB bandwidth (>18nm) with compact size of 2.6μm ×5μm.
