Mordent IoT industries have the requirements of low energy consumption, stable connectivity, smart control, and high cost-efficiency for controlling system. The Bluetooth mesh technology and serverless cloud computing make it possible to realize such systems. This paper designed a cost-efficient smart IoT device controlling system based on the Bluetooth mesh technology and cloud computing services. The system is composed of two parts, a cloud part and a local Bluetooth mesh network. The cloud part utilizes several cloud services to control the states of the local endpoints and handle the voice directives from the user. The local network achieves a decentralized structure using Bluetooth mesh technology and MQTT protocol. The performance of the system is verified via an experiment under the real-world office scenes.
