This paper addresses a new Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) Doppler radar contactless sensor system for slow moving target detection. The system employs monostatic radar with single-antenna, twice down-conversion and DFT algorithm, which is operating on 5.8-GHz with 10 MHz bandwidth to improve the detection accuracy. The sinusoidal-moving reflector can measure the velocity of 0.057 m/s for evaluating the short range moving target. According to the result analysis, the frequency shift is influenced by Doppler Effect and beat frequency, which are 2 Hz and 10.4 Hz, respectively.
