A low cost and simple structure IEEE802.11ad wireless network appliance test system using Gunn oscillator and fundamental mixer

We developed a 60 GHz band IEEE802.11ad test solution with low cost and a simple structure. It consists of an up-converter based on a Gunn oscillator and a fundamental mixer with an arbitrary waveform generator. We confirmed that the performance of the low cost test system exhibits a total error vector magnitude of approximately 2% using the IEEE802.11ad packet. In this report, we describe the details and performance of the low cost test system.
