In this article, a 12-element antenna array covering 2500-2700MHz, 3400-3600MHz, and 4800-5000MHz in mobile smartphone for 5G is presented. The 12-antenna array is constituted by six sets of hybrid antenna pair that are symmetrically printed along two long sides of mobile phone. Each antenna pair is composed of modified U-shaped monopole antenna covering higher and lower band and L-shaped open slot antenna covering middle band. In addition, desired isolation (greater than 12.5dB) is achieved without employing external decoupling structures.
