Matched-field processing of underwater acoustic signal is a signal processing method that uses an ocean model which is close to the real ocean acoustic environment; it is based on the high accuracy simulation of the ocean acoustic field, and matches the result with the real oceanic trial data, so the wanted parameters can be obtained. A variety of matched-field processors has been created because of the complexity of the marine environment, including narrowband and broadband processors, the linear and the minimum variance processors, and processors with different parameters, the purpose of all the processors are to get a better matched result. The positioning ability of these processors at a long range is not the same when the signal-noise ratios (SNR) increasing. It is shown by a great number of comparative simulations that the processor which matches the measured field with the simulated field by cross-spectral coherent integration at a broadband in the frequency domain is the best method.
