In this paper, a wide-band power divider utilized stripline to slotline transition is presented. The power divider uses two different transmission lines— stripline and slotline. The slotline was etched on the ground plane at an angle of 90 degree with the stripline. An improved open/ short end structures were employed to achieve the wide-band performance. The simulated results show that the proposed power divider exhibits a return loss better than 12dB, insertion loss less than 1.0dB, isolation loss better than 7dB, phase imbalance about 180°± 0.2° and amplitude imbalance about ±0.03dB across the band from 2–8GHz. The proposed device has a compact size with a dimension of 30mm×35mm.
