Internet of Things (IoT) technology is one of the topics being hotly discussed as one of the innovations in the era of Industry 4.0. On the other hand, there are still many conventional devices installed around us that are not ready to adopt IoT technology, so we need to find ways to add IoT features to these conventional devices at a low cost. One of the main benefits of implementing IoT technology is that we can monitor and control the consumption of resources which will have direct implications for the efficiency of routine costs that must be paid. Inefficient use of resources we often find in government agencies which incidentally payment of routine costs does not use private funds so there is less concern to be frugal. The use of clean water that continues to flow from a faucet that is not closed or leaking is an example that we often find every day. For this reason, it is necessary to develop a system that can monitor and control the consumption of resources when human culture is inadequate to care. One of them is by implementing the IoT technology using several sensors and actuators that have specific functions that are attached to the microcontroller and connected to the LoRa module for low power usage. The results obtained in the form of a servo motor-based system and solenoid valve-based system function properly to monitor and control clean water consumption with their respective advantages and disadvantages.
