Resonant Inspection is commonly used as automated quality assurance testing for high volume production of powder metal and MIM components. A volumetric whole body approach, Resonant Inspection detects both external and internal structural flaws and production anomalies. Using drop test RAM-NDT methodology, on-line production testing of both PM and MIM components has been proven successful at detecting structural flaws including cracks, chips, blisters, pitting and flashes. Experimental results from production line operations show successful and reliable sorting for these flaws.
