摘要

In this study, tribological properties of vacuum hot pressed AI-Cu-Mg-SiC composite materials produced by powder metallurgy were investigated. The effect of hot pressing parameters on the microstructure, hardness and dry sliding properties were carried out. The results showed that sintering temperature, holding time, pressure and particle size had an important role in the densification of the composite alloy. The density increased with increasing sintering time, decreasing particle size and longer holding time. Wear tests also demonstrated that the hot pressed samples have higher wear resistance compared to cast samples and friction coefficient increased with increasing load during the wear tests.
