Nanohydroxyapatites (Hap) were synthesized by means of chemical precipitation of calcium D-gluconate and diammonium hydrogen phosphate solutions at different reactants concentration and addition rate. The resulting powders were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and surface area measurements. The results showed that the selected variables had an effect on final Hap characteristics eg. phase composition, surface area and morphology of the powders.
