Polymeric composite materials known as fibre-reinforced polymers (FRP) have shown great promise in rehabilitation of ageing or damaged reinforced concrete (RC) elements. After almost four decades of research in this area, external FRP material selection for a specific repair application is still a challenge in the research and industrial communities. This paper presents analyses and compares two novel approaches, Z-transformation and Modified Digital Logic (MDL), for selecting the best external fibre reinforced polymer wrap option, for rehabilitation of a concrete element.
