The manganese sulfate solution leaching from lowgrade pyrolusite in H2SO4 using pyrite has a high concentration of heavy metal. This work is focusing on separating Co, Ni and Zn ions from the solution. The results show that BaS was used as impurity agent to be able to separate the ions effectively, through control of the pH value at 5.0-6.5, temperature at 60-70°C, reaction time for 15 minutes. After removing impurities, the Co ions in the solution Here less than 0.13 mg/l, the efficiency of removing impurities arrived at 99.39%, the Ni ions in the liquid were less than 0.24mg/l, the efficiency of removing impurities arrived at 99.27%, the Zn ions in the liquid were 0.02 mg/l, and the efficiency of removing impurities arrived at 99.9 %. After removing, the solution met the demand of manganese electrolytic.
