Regulatory Trends for Forecast Weather and Proactive Management Technologies in Australia

Australian regulatory authorities have introduced new requirements that support the adoption of innovative air quality modeling and management solutions to proactively manage environmental impacts from industrial operations. A system has been described that is operating to meet these conditions at a number of sites around Australia. This system meets the new requirements by using forecast meteorological and air quality models to predict impacts of industrial operations. It automatically processes model outputs and sends reports that inform operational planning days in advance and/or alerts that are triggered by real-time monitoring data.
