摘要

The CB05 and SAPRC-99 chemical mechanisms were applied in regional air quality modeling to investigate how chemical mechanisms affected the responses of secondary air pollutants to emission changes during the modeling episode. Anthropogenic NOx and VOCs form OTR+VA region as well as SEMAP and LADCO regions significantly affected daily-maximum 8-h ozone concentration in the mid-Atlantic nonattainment areas when CB05 was used. Responses of ozone and PM_(2.5) concentrations to emission changes using CB05 and SAPRC-99 were different. A detailed comparison of the responses of daily-maximum 8-h O_3 and 24-hr average PM_(2.5) concentrations to emission changes using the two chemical mechanisms will also be presented.
