摘要

Measurement of corona characteristics was carried out on newly constructed ±800 kV HVDC test lines located in Kunming, China, with an altitude of 2100 m. Radio interference, audible noise, resultant electric field and ion current density at ground level were measured and compared with the calculated results. All these corona characteristics were also measured at other voltage levels for the purpose of comparison. The measured result show some difference with those acquired above sea level and is significant for further studies of corona mechanism under high altitude condition.
