L#x00E9;vy exponents at critical excitation of nanostructured random amplifying media

We study Lévy statistics at the critical excitation of a nanophotonic, random amplifying system. We observe sub-unity exponents for weak scattering systems that are sensitive to pump fluctuations, in contrast to strong scattering systems.
