摘要

In this research, a new type of mid-rise hybrid timber structure mixed with steel core is studied, and the primary objective of this study is to understand the structural behaviour and the force distribution under seismic loading of the five storey plan-mixed hybrid timber structure based on the building code in Japan. The proposed simulation model examined how the seismic loading suffered in timber part transfer to the core part, which is constructed by steel, through the floor slab and steel connector. This paper gives an overall view of the plan-mixed hybrid timber structure, and with the confirming required knowledge of this kind of structural systems, the enhanced performance and improvement of the mid- and even high-rise hybrid timber structural system will also be expected.
