FIRE PROTECTION ABILITIES PROVIDED BY GYPSUM PLASTERBOARDS

摘要

Gypsum plasterboards and gypsum fibreboards are often used as cladding on timber frame assemblies. Being the first layer on the fire exposed side, the protective properties of the boards are important for the whole assembly, especially for load bearing structures. Different design rules for the protection effect of gypsum plasterboards are presented and compared in the paper.
