The instrumented HSBS system was subjected to frontal blast events at two charge weights. Pressure and acceleration traces from the HSBS described possible energy transmission paths through the system and provided estimates of the biomechanical response to open field pressure waves. These data may be used to help quantify computational models and be combined with medical data to develop a correlation between head responses and injury mechanisms.
