The Challenges Opportunities of 10 ppm Sulfur Gasoline

Most countries are moving towards limiting sulfur level in transportation fuels to 10 wppm. Meeting new ULSG regulations at 10 wppm while using existing FCC post-treatment assets can be achieved in numerous ways depending on the constraints and requirements of each refiner while using commercially proven solutions. Low refinery margins coupled with capital constraints will likely make the revamping of existing FCC post-treatment units the preferred option for most refiners.
