摘要

The SMART-OPS project is the combination of both a hydraulic model and custom application that is used by Metropolitan Water District of Los Angeles (MWD) to run simulations of flow conditions in a designated pilot area of the MWD pipeline network. The pilot area started with the Rialto area and was expanded outward to different areas toward the east side of the distribution system to include the San Diego Canal, Inland Feeder and part of the CRA. The hydraulic model uses data that is collected from various MWD data sources and models the system for certain conditions. The custom application allows MWD personnel to manipulate the collected data in order to create different scenario conditions and re-run the data to evaluate the impact of their changes on the system. The project steps consisted of development and implementation of the hydraulic model in MIKE URBAN based on the various data sources, the model macro-calibration based on the steady state results and the model verification through several comparisons between modeled and historical data for time periods of several days. We also development and implemented the Custom Application including the link between the hydraulic model and SCADA database for automatic setup and run of model scenarios. The main project objectives are to provide a hydraulic and water quality model that allows MWD staff to evaluate performance of the distribution system under different conditions and to provide access for different users to an easy to use, but powerful design and analytical platform.
