Optimal Calculation of the Directivity of Arrays with Azimuthal Element Pattern Symmetry

摘要

A simple analytical formula for the directivity of an array of dipoles is derived. It turns out to be a generalisation of the well known expression for the directivity of an array of isotropic elements. For regular (i.e., equidistant) arrays an efficient algorithm is proposed.
