The cable-girder anchorage zone of cable-stayed bridge which bears giant cable forces and has complicated structure , is the key to structure design. It is very important to study the strength and fatigue property of cable-girder anchorage structure. Under the background of Anqing Yangtze River Bridge and Suzhou-nantong Yangtze River Bridge, the full scale static load model test and fatigue test of the cable-girder anchorage zone were carried out. Based on the model tests and large quantity of theoretical calculations, the force transfer mechanism of the box-shaped anchorage zone and the mechanical characteristics of the main plates bearing force have been studied. The several conclusions we obtained provide some reference value for the design of box-shaped anchorage zone.
