Joined Fluxsense-NPL-Atmosfir measurements at a large tank farm located in the SCAB provided an unprecedented opportunity for an inter-comparison of different ORS methods in a real-life complex refinery environment. Emission fluxes of NMHCs recorded by the SOF and DIAL methods showed good agreement when meteorological conditions were relatively stable. OP-FTIR measurements provided useful information regarding the long-term variability of NMHC emissions and complemented the SOF and DIAL data well. Measurements conducted on October 05, 2015 also highlighted the usefulness of using mobile SOF measurements for detecting short-term increases in VOC concentration that might go unnoticed if only fixed monitoring techniques are used.
