By use the waste heat to produce electricity, the project results in reductions of CO2 emissions that are real, measurable and give long-term benefits to the mitigation of climate change. The total emission reductions from the project are estimated to be on the average 213 407 tCO2e per year over the selected 10 year fixed crediting period. Also, the project activity encompass a gas desulfurization plant and bag filters so reducing the SO_2 and particulate matter emissions and contributing to a better air quality.
