The Hill Air Force Base Air Quality Instruction

By continually developing and improving internal compliance activities used to meet regulatory air quality requirements, Hill AFB now has a draft policy which will chronicle local business practices in support of air quality compliance. The policy will be a stand-alone instruction instead of a supplement to AFI 32-7040 for reasons including ease and frequency of revision, uniqueness of content, and timeliness of release. The instruction will meet personnel's objectives of having a readily-available, official resource for air quality compliance protocols and should aid in the acquisition of funding to support compliance activities. Based on recent feedback from affected organizations and after nearly two decades of perfecting the system, Hill AFB is finally in a position of relative agreement and understanding of common objectives among all affected groups to officialize local air quality business practices as an Air Force Instruction.
