This work presents a novel cascaded filter array architecture for large-scale MEMS filter arrays that overcomes the limitations associated with the large shunt capacitance to efficiently scale the number of filters in the array. The proposed architecture effectively reduces the capacitive loading at the input by utilizing a series connection of the filters, resulting in improvement in the return loss and stopband rejection for large arrays. This work demonstrates the feasibility of large-scale filter arrays without the need for additional costly isolation strategies for real-time spectrum monitoring applications.
