Combining phase contrast microscopy and laser tweezers Raman spectroscopy to characterize germination of single bacterial spores

We report a method that combines external phase contrast microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and optical tweezers to monitor a variety of changes during the germination of single bacterial spores.
