At present the resolution of existing phased array meteorological radar is too low to accurately describe the severe weather system. The paper proposes a new method of inversion on radar data based on evolution strategy, because of the advantages of evolution strategy for solving constrained ill-conditioned equations. Then we make use of the gradual changes of real data, and invert the low accuracy data to a higher accuracy data by evolution strategy (ES) optimization method. The result of simulation experiment shows that the average error is less than 1%, and the algorithm is stable. Finally, the effect is obvious in real experiments of radar data. It can improve the resolution of radar echo data through soft computing method, and simplify the radar hardware design, so that it is worth to be applied in the real world.
