Focusing on the resource allocation problem for cooperative transmission in OFDM-based cognitive radio networks, in this paper while secondary users are allowed to access to the primary users' spectrum in a mixed accessing mod of both underlay and overlay, we propose an cross-layer scheduling scheme for secondary users' transmission. In the scheduling scheme, as long as the primary user is protected, we determine the most appropriate subcarrier pairs for the two phases' transmission in each frame and allocate the optimal transmit power for the subcarrier pairs in order to obtain a maximal rate during a superframe's transmission. By a decomposition method, the optimization problem for scheduling scheme is solved effectively. Simulation results indicate that the proposed cross-layer scheduling scheme brings a notable increase in the transmission rate, which confirms the validity of the proposed scheduling scheme.
