Aimed at the problems existing in managing open laboratory, a management pattern of the open laboratory based on RFID technology was introduced. Based on the analysis of some possible technique and the key chips, a systematic scheme was proposed which consists of Mifarel S50 IC card, reading/writing module based on MFRC522, controlling unit using P89LPC9321 as MCU, communication network based on RS485 and TCP/IP protocol, and the background DBMS. Because the distributed structure and centralized control strategy were adopted, this system has the characteristics of high reliability and good realtime capability.
