How Many Keys Should be Pre-distributed to a Node in Sensor Networks?

Due to resource constraints, achieving key management in sensor networks is non-trivial. So far, a number of key pre-distribution schemes have been proposed. Such as, E-G scheme, q-composite scheme et al. However, how many keys should be pre-distributed to a node? In the previous schemes, the number of keys pre-distributed to a node is decided by three aspects as bellow: local connectivity', global connectivity and the resilience against node capture. But ignore the following important aspect: whether the network is connected or not when x nodes are captured? Our theoretical analysis and simulation study demonstrate that the global connectivity suffering the influence of node capture is minimal when the local connectivity is about 0.45.
