Database design is a key problem of Product Configuration Systems.The paper presents a database of PCS is constructed rapidly by SmarTeam,and the existing database structure has been modified.The product structure tree is introduced to design database of PCS,the definition of tree structure is detailed and structure product tree;based on the characteristics of oriented-object technology and relational database,two combine in PDM,then objectrelational database management system is established to adapt to the user's own needs.The result can be expected to improve openness and adaptability of the product configuration system based on PDM,and to provide a reference for design of similar database system.

机译：数据库设计是产品配置系统的关键问题。本文提出了一种由SmarTeam快速构建的PCS数据库，并对现有的数据库结构进行了修改。将产品结构树引入PCS的设计数据库中，树结构的定义详细，结构化的产品树;根据面向对象技术和关系数据库的特点，将二者结合在PDM中，然后建立对象关系数据库管理系统以适应用户自己的需求。结果有望提高开放性和适应性基于PDM的产品配置系统的设计，并为类似数据库系统的设计提供参考。
