An Authentication Scheme for Open Peer-to-Peer System

摘要

In this paper,we formulate the characteristics of Open Peer-to-Peer System Model (OP2PSM) and distinguish it from closed one.And a promising authentication scheme suitable to OP2PSM is analyzed and improved with two methods of public-key-copy maintaining methods,the optimistic method and the pessimistic method.The optimistic one,convinced of the fact that a compromised public-key exists,takes action to recover public-key copies effectively.While the pessimistic one,with a suspicion that some public-key copies are compromised,updates public-key copies periodically.Finally,we analyze the two methods from both security and performance aspects respectively.
