This paper comments the process of how to apply artificial intelligence and virtual design into the design of ceramic kiln,putting forward how to apply the Object-Oriented Programing tool Visual C++6.0 to design the expert system of ceramic kiln design and apply the 3D solid modeling software to design the parametric 3D solid modeling of the whole ceramic kiln.I/O interface,knowledge base and reasoning machine of expert system for ceramic kiln design is developed,This system can realized the intelligentize,automatization of ceramic kiln design and virtual design of ceramic kiln based on 3D modeling.Based on this,it can not only improve the efficiency and quality of ceramic kiln design,but also realize automatic design of ceramic kiln.
