An Enhanced V-BLAST Detector with Global Instantaneous Error Minimization

We propose the enhanced V-BLAST detector with global optimization.The proposed V-BLAST detector compares the total instantaneous square errors of all signals for each possible detection order, to choose the detection order with the smallest total instantaneous square errors.The proposed enhanced V-BLAST detector has better performance than the conventional V-BLAST detector that finds and detects the signal with the smallest mean-square error.The performance gain of the proposed V-BLAST detector is about 0.17 dB at BER=102.
