摘要

A fast encoding algorithm for vector quantization based on hadamard transform and features of sub vector is presented in this paper.Making use of three characteristics of a subvector: the sum,the norm and the variance,an efficiency five-step eliminating algorithm is introduced,more unnecessary codewords are rejected without the full distance calculation.The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can greatly reduce the distortion calculation and the computational complexit.
