This paper shows how strongly the bidirectional reflectance factor (BRF) of a harrowed soil surface collected in the field is correlated with the BRF of surface equivalents measured in the laboratory: an undisturbed sample as well as its artificial samples formed from the same soil material with furrows at different scales. The average fitting for all the studied samples with respect to their field equivalent is nearly identical in all the tested λ ranges. The worst fitting was found for solar zenith angles higher than 50°. The goodness-of-fit of the BRF data for the studied surfaces, expressed by the coefficient of determination, exceeds 90% in the majority of view directions, irrespective of the λ and θs.
