Experimental research on hydrogen production by gasifying larch sawdust which was studied in supercritical water via a batch-type autoclave. And alkaline compound K2CO3 was used as catalyst under the experimental condition of 450°C and 30MPa. Gas phase products and liquid phase products were analyzed by gas chromatograph and gas chromatography-mass spectrometer respectively. Liquid phase products were composed by phenol, 2-methyl phenol, 3-methyl phenol and 4-methyl phenol. According to the results, possible reaction pathway was proposed. The theoretical basis for improving the process of hydrogen production from biomass gasification in supercritical water was provided.
