We studied on microbial activity in wetland soils of dry lake of Hui Teng xi le in semi-arid steppe with the reference of typical steppe in semi-arid areas. Microbial biomass carbon (MBC), microbial biomass nitrogen (MBN), basal respiration (BR), potential respiration (PR), microbial quotient (qMB), and metabolic quotient (qCO2) of soils were used to survey microbial activity.
