Scattering by periodic dielectric media via a spectral domain-integral equation: Maintaining efficiency and accuracy

A domain integral equation for periodic dielectric media is considered, formulated in the spectral domain. Special attention is paid to the mathematical structure of the Green's function kernel and the impact of discontinuities in the permittivity for maintaining an efficient and accurate numerical scheme.
