The spray characteristic of the internal-mixing atomizing nozzle with 8 jet orifices is investigated by Fluent. 1 jet orifice and adjacent 3 jet orifices are performed respectively as simplified model to do the numerical simulation of unsteady turbulent flow. To predict droplets atomization in the flow field, Continuous Phase is set by standard turbulent model and Discrete Phase Model (DPM) is applied with unsteady flowing in the software. The simulation results of 1 jet orifice model present the influence of Sauter Mean Diameter (SMD) when pressure and axial-length change, discuss the trend of droplet size distribution as pressure arises and prove its rationality according to comparing with the simulation results of the 3 orifices model. Numerical prediction results correspond to experimental value well.
